Particularly since we began utilizing Microsoft FrontPage, the fourth quarter has been an enjoyable and thrilling learning experience. I gained knowledge about how to make a simple webpage, arrange the content, and build a polished layout. Seeing how websites are created and how crucial it is to ensure that everything functions and looks good was interesting. It wasn't all simple, though. Making sure everything fit properly on the pages was the first layout challenge I faced. I had trouble correctly linking the pages, and occasionally my webpage didn't display the way I wanted it to. I knew I had to keep trying even if it was a little annoying. In order to address these issues, I practiced alone for longer periods of time and sought clarification from my teacher as necessary. In order to discover more strategies for improving, I also watched internet tutorials. I became proficient with FrontPage and felt more comfortable creating websites after some practice. I want ...

In the next fifteen years, I envision myself as a prosperous engineer who improves the lives of those I care about in addition to myself. Women's History Month, observed in March, honors the accomplishments of women across the ages. "WE For Gender Equality and Inclusive Society," this year's theme, calls on everyone to unite in support of gender equality. Regardless of gender, it serves as a reminder that in order to have an equal society, we must all work together to remove obstacles that stand in the way of progress. Everyone should have equal possibilities in life, regardless of gender, according to gender equality. It's about establishing a society in which everyone is treated equally and with dignity, whether in the workplace, in the classroom, or in daily life. The topic highlights that gender equality is a problem that affects everyone and is something that we must all work for, not just women. Although there has been progress, more has to be done. It's critical that we all continue to advocate for change because gender inequity persists in many parts of the world. The "WE...

Valentine's Day is a unique day that honours the love and affection that romantic partners, friends, and family share. It is celebrated on February 14th every year. Its roots are found in the story of Saint Valentine, a Roman priest who secretly married couples in defiance of an emperor's order. As time went on, the festival changed to become a day to show love through presents, nice words, and creative actions. Valentine's Day is widely observed around the world as a celebration of love, gratitude, and the close bonds that bind people together.        It seems that Valentine's Day is the ideal time to express our love and affection to our family, friends, lovers, and loved ones. It's about being kind to others and appreciating friendship as much as romantic love. During a hectic school day, it serves as a reminder to cherish those who help us. Depending on the person's personality and preferred language, there are many different ways to show affecti...

Our community-based research experience was both instructive and rewarding. We started by brainstorming various subjects to ensure that our research addressed a real issue in the community. After careful study, we chose a topic that we felt would have a significant impact. Planning was essential, as we allocated tasks among our group members to maximize efficiency. We collaborated with local citizens, organizations, and stakeholders to acquire essential data and insights. During the data gathering phase, we immersed ourselves in the community by conducting surveys, interviews, and observations. Engaging with the people helped us gain a better understanding of their concerns and allowed us to gather firsthand knowledge. Analyzing the data needed collaboration, critical thinking, and patience as we sought to uncover trends and develop conclusions. Throughout the process, we had obstacles, but our collaboration and commitment helped us overcome them. As we completed our research, we...

Throughout this quarter, I have gained valuable knowledge about community-based research and different types of hmtl lists, such as nested lists, ordered lists, and unordered lists. I learned that community-based research focuses on solving real-world issues by involving the community in the research process, making it more relevant and impactful. Meanwhile, in programming, I discovered how nested lists allow for organizing complex data structures, and how ordered and unordered lists help structure information efficiently in HTML and other formats.   However, I faced some challenges, especially in understanding how nested lists work and how to properly structure them in coding. At first, it was confusing to manage multiple layers of lists and ensure that the correct elements were accessed or displayed properly.   To overcome this, I practiced writing and manipulating nested lists through coding exercises and sought help from online tutorials and discussions. B...

Chinese New Year is widely celebrated in the Philippines, even by many Filipinos who aren’t of Chinese descent. This celebration is deeply rooted in Filipino culture due to the long history of Chinese influence in the country. The Chinese community has been in the Philippines for centuries, and their traditions, including the Lunar New Year, have been embraced by many Filipinos. Over time, Chinese New Year has become a shared occasion that unites different communities, bringing a sense of joy and festivity to everyone. In addition to cultural ties, Filipinos observe Chinese New Year for its symbolic meaning of new beginnings and good fortune. Many people believe that starting the year with positive energy will bring prosperity and happiness. It’s common for families to clean their homes, wear red clothing, and decorate with symbols of luck to attract good fortune for the year ahead. This focus on positive energy and hope for a fresh start resonates with Filipinos, regardless of t...

Vigan, one of the most well-preserved Spanish colonial towns in the Philippines, has seen a remarkable transformation throughout its history. As a municipality, Vigan was a thriving center of trade and culture during the Spanish colonial period. Its strategic location along the Mestizo River made it an important hub for commerce and governance. The town’s well-planned layout, with narrow streets and a mix of indigenous and Spanish-influenced architecture, reflects its historical significance. During this time, Vigan was known for its role as the capital of Ilocos Sur, boasting a rich heritage and a sense of identity that would define the town for centuries to come. Today, Vigan is recognized as a highly urbanized city, blending its rich history with modern-day conveniences. The city was officially declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, solidifying its global significance and attracting tourists from all over the world. Despite the influx of tourism and modernization, Vigan has ...

"New Year, New Me" this is the time to start a fresh and striving of my personal growth. I entered 2025 with lots of joy. A new year provides an opportunity to reflect on the past, that needs an improvement. I wanted to improve my performance in academics and my sports especially in basketball.   However, change is not always easy, it takes time for me to learn what I wanted to. Achieving goals requires resilience. It is my ability to overcome my fear and keep moving forward. Patience is one of my difficulties but this is the only thing for me to succeed. Embracing these challenges with a positive mindset can lead to meaningful, lasting change. Along with resilience, self-compassion and support from others plays an important role in my personal transformation. Change takes time, and being kind to ourselves helps maintain motivation when things don’t go as planned. I'll make sure to execute my performance in academics and sports.

Christmas holidays are a time of giving togetherness, and celebration. One of the most cherished aspects of the Christmas season is the opportunity to reunite with family and friends. These reunions are sharing meals, laughter, and the joy of being surrounded by those who matters you most. My experience during the Christmas holidays is exchanging gifts, reunited with our family, swimming outings, and having parties. These moments of togetherness are at the heart of the holiday experiences. Gift-giving is a central tradition that brings both joy and meaning to Christmas. The act of choosing a thoughtful gift for someone expresses love and appreciation, while the excitement of unwrapping presents brings excitement and joy. However, Christmas is not just about material gifts-it's also a time to show generosity through acts of kindness. Reuniting with family and friends which are away from us is also an importance of Christmas. Midnight Mass, is a key part of the holiday, offering a se...

Rape is a serious crime involving nonconsensual sexual intercourse that is frequently accompanied by force or manipulation. It is a sort of sexual violence that causes severe bodily and emotional trauma to the victim. While the legal definition of rape varies by jurisdiction, the basic element stays consistent. To address this issue, the government enacted the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 (RA). According to the law, anyone can become a victim of rape, regardless of whether they are a prostitute, are not virgins, or have an active sexual life. RA 8353 increased the severity of the punishment for offenders and broadened the definition of adultery to include previously undefined behaviors. Despite these advancements, problems persisted, such as difficulties obtaining proof, societal biases that impacted victims' trustworthiness, and a general lack of comprehensive support systems for survivors. Despite the law's goal of addressing the systemic issues related to rape, its efficacy has b...

Climate change has emerged as a pressing issue for the Philippines, a nation that is susceptible to numerous environmental challenges. Increasing global temperatures, deforestation, and the combustion of fossil fuels have led to more severe and frequent natural disasters within the country. The Philippines consistently faces dangers from powerful typhoons, flooding, and rising sea levels, all of which present significant hazards to its population. Coastal communities, in particular, suffer the most as they deal with the catastrophic consequences of storm surges, and many risk losing their homes to flooding and erosion. The unpredictability and severity of these disasters underscore the urgent need to tackle climate change in the nation. The impacts of climate change are acutely felt in the agricultural sector, which serves as the livelihood for numerous Filipinos. Irregular weather patterns, such as extended droughts and excessive rainfall, have complicated farming and made it hi...

Elpidio Quirino’s early life and career were marked by perseverance, hard work, and a dedication to public service. Born on November 16, 1890, in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, he came from a family that valued education despite their modest means. Quirino attended the University of the Philippines, where he earned his law degree in 1915. During his time in university, he faced financial difficulties but managed to support his studies through scholarships and part-time work. After passing the bar exam in 1916, Quirino began practicing law and gained recognition for his legal expertise. His entry into public service came in 1919 when he was appointed to the Philippine Commission. He later served as a member of the House of Representatives in 1925, representing his home province of Ilocos Sur.  Quirino’s skills and reputation in government grew over time, and in 1934, he was selected as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention that drafted the 1935 Constitution of the Philippines. His ...

National Indigenous Peoples Month (NIPM) in the Philippines is an important time to celebrate the rich culture, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples (IPs) across the country. This year’s theme, “Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan at Parangalana”(Valuing, Nurturing, and Honoring Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Knowledge), emphasizes the need to protect and promote the rights of Indigenous communities while safeguarding their traditional knowledge systems. The month-long observance, along with the 27th anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA), serves as a reminder of the continued efforts to ensure that the rights of IPs are recognized, respected, and implemented in all sectors of society. The IPRA, enacted in 1997, remains a landmark piece of legislation that enshrines the rights of Indigenous Peoples, particularly in securing their ancestral domains and preserving their cultural heritage. Through this law, IPs are granted the right...

Throughout the second quarter, I have gained valuable knowledge and insights into the world of HTML and web development. One of the key discoveries I made was how HTML tags are the building blocks of web pages. By understanding how to use different tags like , <frameset>, <header>, <p> and many others, I learned how to structure content logically and effectively on a webpage. I realized that each tag has a specific purpose, and using the right tag in the right context makes a significant difference in how a webpage is displayed and functions. Additionally, I discovered the role of HTML attributes such as b, sup, and href, which allow for more precise control over the appearance and behavior of the page, enabling me to create more dynamic and interactive websites. However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles I encountered was understanding the proper syntax and usage of HTML tags. I struggled at times with ensuring that all ...

The 2024 National Children’s Month theme, “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines,” serves as a vital reminder of the need for concerted efforts to protect children from all forms of violence. This theme highlights the alarming prevalence of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation across the country, underscoring the importance of a collective response from the government, communities, and individuals. Whether it's physical abuse, online exploitation, or neglect, children deserve to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment free from fear and harm. The theme challenges every Filipino to actively participate in creating a safer space for children, one that shields them from violence and allows them to thrive.                                                           ...

I gained knowledge about the history of computers, blogs, pioneers, and the internet. I discovered that, like the pioneers who shaped the internet and the rest of the world's advancements, computers are incredible tools that help us in our work and social connections. We can use technology to convey our thoughts and interact with others through blogs. Just as pioneers needed to be fearless to travel into the unknown, blogging requires guts to put our ideas out there for the world to see.  One of the issues I experience is multitasking due to the abundance of activities/quizzes. Most of the time, I can't do everything simultaneously. Also, I'm trying to increase my results because I don't always understand the lesson we're taught. If I don't understand the lesson, my quiz results are low.  One of the keys to multitasking is time management, which can help you overcome these obstacles. Concentrate on a single task at a time, which will help us work more productive...

During Environmental Month, people should encourage environmentally friendly practices and spread knowledge of the urgent issues harming the environment. We have a unique opportunity as students to improve the state of the environment by starting with our personal acts and spreading or sharing what we have done to better our communities. But it's crucial to remember that we have an ongoing obligation to safeguard the environment, not only during Environmental Awareness Month.   Planting is giving nutrients to animals, absorbing carbon dioxide, releasing oxygen into the atmosphere, and controlling the water cycle. Plants also enhance the environment in many other ways.  A clean environment is the promotion of better health and the reduction of the risk of diseases.   By prioritizing cleanliness, we can create a healthier and safer environment for ourselves and future generations. Recycling plastic bottles is one example of waste material into new materials or objects....
